There is a set of techniques capable of enhancing the human factor and extracting the best that IT can offer to the business.
Behind every successful company is a set of techniques and processes whose main objective is to improve operational performance and extract the best that IT can offer. These are optimized business processes, application of organizational governance, supply strategy, and detailed business planning to minimize the chances of unforeseen events and guide you on the best ways to achieve your goals.
In addition, it is also possible to gain competitive performance through Lean Management and Lean IT methodologies and concepts, breaking paradigms by enabling professionals to do more with less. For those who are in the process of integration (Post Merger Integration), the work involves creating a unique culture and preserving the essential values that will enhance the human factor and, consequently, the company.
Lean has already proven its value in several areas in organizations. In information technology, the Lean IT concept seeks to reduce friction in the development, operation, and support processes of applications. Aligned with the agile model and culture, Lean IT is a continuous and cyclical strategic approach that reduces costs, raises quality, and transforms culture.
Case 1
Digital Transformation in shopping mall construction management
The transformation orchestrated by TGT led one of the most important shopping center holdings in Brazil to excellence in the management of its projects and expressive financial results
Scenario
From the purchase of land to its opening, the construction of a mall is an extremely complex process. To improve the management of these projects and expand the use of the resources available on its SAP platform, one of the largest shopping mall companies in the country asked TGT for a project that would achieve these two objectives.
Approach
The starting point was to define, together with the company’s management, strategic guidelines – a survey carried out through individual interviews and workshops with managers. This definition led to the redesign of the enterprise management model. The next step was to analyze the IT solutions available on the market and their compatibility with both the strategic goals and the SAP environment already installed. TGT conducted all these steps, including the preparation and management of the RFP for the solution to be implemented.
Results
TGT planned a new process for the development of the projects, with the improvement of physical and financial controls, purchasing, and contracting processes. This was the result of adjustments in the organizational model, process redesign, and introduction of new concepts and support systems. In the end, the new model allowed for better planning and control of the evolution of all projects.
Case 2
Business plan development for startup
Viability analysis of the startup of an important vehicle brand in Brazil, followed by the victory in the international bid
Scenario
A group of Brazilian business people was interested in starting to represent vehicles of a certain high-end brand of the Volkswagen Group in Brazil. However, the group had doubts about the feasibility of the operation, as well as about the prerequisites to win the international competition that would select the representatives.
Approach
The first step was to develop a business plan analyzing the demand potential and estimates of revenue, costs, and investments. Once the feasibility of the operation was verified, we developed an operation proposal that competed with six other competitors to represent the company in Brazil.
Results
Our customers won the right to commercialize the brand and develop the business plan in Brazil. They were acclaimed with praise – “the most professional of presentations”, in the words of the international executives who selected them. Currently, this operation remains consolidated and active in Brazil.
